Charles Blondin walked across Niagara Falls on a tightrope in 1859. Approximately 25,000 people watched the five-minute walk. No Leap Second Adjustment Time will occur today. The Bureau International de l’Heure in Paris, France, can decide whether to add or subtract a second to keep the clocks in line with the earth’s revolution. This year a leap second is not necessary.
